2DOC is based on a client-server model with the 2DOC database as ist core. The 2DOC clients access the 2DOC database via LAN. Jointly with its  multiuser capability 2DOC acts as a central database, providing up-to-date information for all all project participants.

Access to the 2DOC database can also be established via web from every computer equipped with  broad band internet connection.

2DOC uses LAN and web technology not only for data transfer between client and database, but also checks for updates of the client application or plugins, receives the latest usermanual and connects the user via live support with the 2DOC support team.

Data for import can be gathered from FTP-Servers, reports can be fed to ECMS-Servers or directly be sent to the decision-makers.
