The orientatin of the tbm within the tunnel can either be read from the machine's sensor data or from data files produced by other measurement systems (i.e. Tauros system) and can be saved in the 2od database. Orientation diagrams and deviation diagrams are provided for easy data interpretation. Together with other data (i.e. data from geological documentation and data coming from the tbm sensors) the theme supports interpretation of surveying data. As a side effect TBM surveying data can also be used to import advance status information into the 2doc database.

In case of TBM drives with liner segments this theme allows the documentation of the built in liner segments. The documentation includes type of liner segment used, exact position in tunnel, serial number of segment etc. For each liner segment data coming from the TBM - process data theme can be displayed; statistical values of the process data for of each liner segment are automatically calculated. Damages found on liner segments can be documented in 2doc together with a damage classification, a verbal description and optional photos. The liner segment documentation yields valuable information especially when used in combination with data coming from other themes i.e. Subsurface 3D Displacement Measurement or Geological Documentation.

2doc can be used to integrate data coming from tunnel boring machines. Process data (data of sensors on the TBM that is logged with high sampling rate) as well as preprocessed data (data with a lower sampling rate) can be imported in the 2doc database. The parameters that are imported can be freely defined by the user and this way 2doc easily adapts to the TBM used. Simple statistical methods allow an efficient data handling even when dealing with a huge amount of data (in case of process data typically several Gigabytes). Flexible visualizations and freely definable threshold levels allow a quick overview as well as a detailed analysis of critical sections. All calculations respect the TBM status when the data was logged, the user can freely define the status relevant for each parameter.
