2DOC offers the possibility to automate dataimport and reportgeneration. Any number of jobs for different tasks can be defined and scheduled. Importdata and reports can be read from ore stored to local filesystem or FTP-Servers. All in 2DOC available reports can be automatized. The dataimport can be automatized for the following themes:

• Surface surveying
• Inclinometerreadings
• Piezometerreadings
• Borehole extension
• Borehole temperature
• BEAM - Geoelectrical Ahead Monitoring

The interplay between the following components offers a maximum flexibility on controling the automation with high reliability of the overall system:

Jobdefinition

The jobdefinition is evidence of exact definition and scheduling of the tasks, which have to be done. Here also the logfiles of executed jobs can be viewed.

Servicemanagement

Here 2DOC Service can be installed as windows service. So the 2DOC Service is startet automaticaly on system start, even if no user logs on. Thus a reliable execution of jobs defined is garanteed. Also logfile dumps of the 2DOC services log can be created here.

Agent

The agent is the core of the automating and has got two tasks. First it check at regular intervals if there are jobs to execute, and secound it executes the jobs due. The 2DOC agent is startet automatically with the 2DOC Sercice. It is also built in into the 2DOC client and can be startet there for debuging or demonstration.
